Junfeng Ge is an associate professor of the Department of Aircraft Navigation and Guidance, School of Automation. He is a member of National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Multispectral Information Processing, and Key Laboratory of Image Processing and Intelligent Control (Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Ministry of Education.
Associate professor Ge's research is focused primarily on ice sensor and ice detection technologies, thermal radiation measurement, image processing and 2D & 3D measurement, object detection and pattern recognition. Specific initiatives that he has pursued include: optical-fiber and piezoelectric resonance ice sensor, optical-fiber liquid level sensor, electro-thermal and electro-mechanical hybrid de-ice method, multispectral image based ice detection, emissivity measurement and non-contact temperature measurement, 3D ice shape reconstruction from multi-view images, pedestrian and vehicle detection for driver assistance system, thermal paint recognition. He has published in the areas of ice sensor, optical-fiber liquid level sensor, super-cooled large droplet icing detection, multispectral thermometry, thermal paint recognition and pedestrian detection etc.
