Research Interests:

Nong Sang is a professor of the Department of Aircraft Navigation and Guidance, School of Automation. He is a member of National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Multispectral Information Processing, and Key Laboratory of Image Processing and Intelligent Control (Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Ministry of Education.
Professor Sang's research is focused primarily on object tracking, image restoration, person re-identification, action recognition, medical image processing. Specific initiatives that she has pursued include: tracking occluded objects by introducing layered occlusion models, person re-identification by learning similarity with top-heavy ranking Losses, action recognition by learning distinctive action parts, adaptive thresholding segmentation of digital subtraction angiography images based on the knowledge of the size of vessels. She has published in the areas of compute vision, pattern recognition and medical image processing etc..
