Zheng Ying is Professor, doctoral tutor in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, IEEE member, a member of Technical Committee on fault diagnosis of Chinese Association of automation, a director in Hubei Association of automation, and program committee members and session (co)chairs in a number of academic conferences. She is one of the first international scholars who research on fault diagnosis of networked control system, and one of first domestic scholars who research on run-to-run fault-tolerant control method. She studied on model-based fault diagnosis of networked control system; proposed fault-tolerant run-to-run control method of semiconductor manufacturing process; developed data-based fault monitoring method for industrial closed-loop system. She has won a Second Class Hubei Natural Science Award, supervisor award for outstanding bachelor thesis in Hubei. The applicant undertook 3 National Natural Science Foundations, participated sub-project of national 973 project as a second director and in charge of sub-project of the key project from National Natural Science Foundation. She has published 57 papers on international top journals and conferences such as IEEE Trans, JPC, etc, in which 21 papers are currently indexed by SCI and 53 papers are indexed by EI. All the papers are cited 174 times in web of science, 119 times by SCI journals. Among them, the highest citation of her single paper is 92 from web of science and 69 by SCI journals
